This week I’m loving… Maker Studio

The renovation of our house is an ongoing process, but some rooms are really starting to come together. Our kitchen has gone from one of the worst rooms in the house to one of the best, and I am very excited to have just ordered some amazing bar stools from Queensland based Maker Studio.

These guys have their creative workshop in Noosa, and produce a beautiful collection of furniture with a clean, simple aesthetic. I love their restrained approach to design, and their ethos of manufacturing for long terms relevance rather than the ‘throw away’ mentality of mass production.

Working mainly with timber and powder coated steel, Maker Studio have a range of tables, stools and storage items available on their website. They also do bespoke furniture design, outdoor art installations, shop fit outs and residential joinery.

I can’t wait to see more from these guys, and can’t wait to see their Willox Stools in my kitchen! I’ll be sure to share some pictures once they are in place.
