Shop Country Everyday | Country & Co Giveaway

A couple of times of year we jump off the city roller coaster and head to the country for a long weekend. It's a chance to clear our heads and appreciate a slightly less hectic lifestyle. I often return from these weekends wishing I could access a little of rural Australia every day. Well guess what? Now I can.

I've recently been in touch with Holly Cardew, a part time country girl who is passionate about the extensive number of independent businesses and artisan producers in regional Australia. In September last year Holly launched her online marketplace, Country & Co, which sells fashion, homewares, food products, art and furniture from a variety of regional businesses.

Holly Cardew, founder of Country & Co.

The objective of Country & Co is to help regional businesses sell their products online, while informing consumers what our regional towns have to offer. It is about bringing that irresistible country style to the city, and beyond.

With the list of producers growing on the site, it is clear to see the endless talent we have in regional areas.

  1. Hi Gallop!
Wow, what a comp from a very promising and rising art star.
To pick a fav, how can I! Each piece is a wonderful marriage of geometry and rich colour set against unique animals. However, when I close my eyes I see "Bobby" and "Spike".
Thanks for bringing these to the world and to my eyes.
    - Kimberly

  2. Love them all! My favourite is the 'besties' - it would look fabulous in my little bub Molly's room. Fiona B xxx

  3. What beautiful artwork. Hands down, my favourite is Spike. My beautiful three month daughter has hair just like this cool little character. This artwork brought a huge smile to my face, just like my little girl when she wakes up with her fabulous bed head - Abbie

  4. They're very cute pics. I'd have to pick "Bert"!

  5. Just love Priscilla! These are such gorgeous little characters, beautiful artworks to brighten up any room - Trish

  6. I love them all but besties has to be my favourite followed by Baby B as a close second. I love what holly is doing, she is such a bright spark and will go so far bringing these amazing pieces together for everyone to share.
I've been known as Ally bird since I was little so hopefully one day there is an Ally Bird painting too.
    All the best. .

  7. Fab competition Gallop Team!
I am loving the Meeso Oh prints, and if pushed to pick a fave one if would have to be Alex Long Legs. I am looking for artwork for 9 week old Milla's room, and this would be perfect...

  8. I have been eyeing off these Meese Oh paintings on Country & Co since Christmas, it's always hard to choose one! What is special about them is that they are all one of a kind, they are always painted in exquisite water colours, and are just so damn cute! If I had to choose just one - I think I would pick "Thinka" to put on my desk at work. Everytime I would look at it, it might remind me to stop thinking and start doing! And also put a smile on my face :)

Keep up the good work Meese Oh, Country & Co and Gallop Lifestyle!

  9. We seem to be having a technical problem with the comments section on the blog (grrrr...). Some people have advised that their comments are not appearing. We think it is fixed, but if you did want to enter the artwork give away and are having problems, you can also enter via Facebook. We will extend the deadline till tomorrow. Apologies!

  10. I've only recently discovered Lauren's work thanks to the Country & Co Instagram. I absolutely love watercolour artwork, so needless to say, I fell in love with the Meese Oh range instantly. After a good 20 plus minutes of viewing each piece (it was a bloody tough choice) I decided 'Crab' was my favourite. The colours are simply stunning and work so well in creating that feeling of the ocean. Just looking at it takes me back to Tallow Beach in Byron Bay.

    Happy Friday!

  11. This is an awesome giveaway! I love the purpose behind Country & Co, as I myself would love to have more of a country feel at home.

'Yo!' Is the kind of artwork I would pick to have hanging on my bedroom wall. It is a very welcoming and relaxing piece and reminds me of the easy-going and friendly vibe I get from many of the people i've come across in regional Australian. The more I look at the piece the more I think about the exchange going on between the two birds: "Yo!" "I'm a bird, you're a bird."

  12. Its been a hard choice, everyone's entries have been great. Thanks to you all for taking the time to enter. Our winner is Katie, who chose 'Crab' ( Congrats Katie! Please email your address details to
