Have you discovered Society6? If not, you have now...
I stumbled across Society6 a few months ago and was completely hooked! Founded by three guys in 2009, Society6 is an online store selling artworks, phone cases, computer cases, cushions and other objects created by the work of thousands of artists from around the world. Artists upload their work on the site and Society6 prints and sends the items on behalf of the artist.
The first weekend I came across Society6 there was a free shipping offer to Australia and, because I am addicted to cushions, I had over 20 different cushions in my cart. It was so difficult to decide which ones to buy and which ones to leave for next time.
Images clockwise from top left: 'Monumental' by Emily Rickard, 'Bright Lights... Big City' by Brian Raggatt, 'Bright Canola' by Shaun Lowe, 'Peeps Dips' by Minagraphy. All images Society6.
How fabulous are the cushions (above)?! There is such a range of mediums - from photography, to illustration, to paint. I had to purchase the Monumental cushion – I love the bright yellow. Bright Canola, Peeps Dips and Bright Lights…Big City are also wonderful. Cushion covers come with or without the insert and range from $20 - $35 each.
I haven’t purchased a stretched canvas yet however I am eyeing off a few pieces. Priced from $19 - $220 (depending on the size ordered), they are such a great way to decorate your walls on a budget.
Below are my favourites...
'Painted Pebbles 1' by Garima Dhawan on Society 6.
'Colour Study No 1' by Emily Rickard on Society 6.
'December Light' by Alicia Bock on Society 6.
