A friend of mine has the most beautiful linen (Chloe, you know who you are!). She always has. You go to her house and see each bed made with crisp, beautiful sheets. Linen with pattern and texture. Even some she found in an antique store! High quality stuff. Not the cheap, made in China, low thread count sheet sets often found in my house (yes, I am ashamed to admit that even though I own a homewares store, my linen closet is in dire need of an upgrade).

She would never keep faded sheets, or worse still a sheet that had turned a bit yellow. And she would never make a bed with a mis-matched set.

Right now my entire house is in limbo land, while we plan for a renovation. But I am determined that once I have a new bedroom, and a proper linen cupboard, I will head more in the direction of a grown up bedroom with a grown up linen cupboard.

Don't these options look amazing? I'm sure if I had new sheet sets for my grown up bedroom, I would keep a linen cupboard to make my grandmother proud.
